Autumn is My Last Chance - another painting of mine reflecting on the melancholy nature of autumn. This big eyed little goth fairy is carrying a bright red apple - one of the only hints of colour in this bleak autumn landscape. Made from my own original acrylic painting. Those lovely autumn leaves in the background pattern of the binder are a photo I took in Mesa Verde, Colorado!

A very special painting I did for MegaCon 2014! This was a collaboration between myself and Sugar Fueled (my friend & fellow artist Michael Banks). I painted the girl of course, and the background - Michael painted the sweet Kitty, the cupcake and those gorgeous swirling colours! It was a really fun project to work on, I'm very happy with how it turned out. Both myself and Sugar Fueled have prints, posters & other merchandise up for sale! Be sure to visit Michael's website at sugarfueled.com

Introducing my newest girl in my Pirates series - "Bootstrap Betsy!" I love her colourful parrot friend bringing her strands of pearls! Actually, I love everything in this painting, from her classic tattoos - to the blue land crab approaching the half-buried skeleton - to the tropical sea - the palm trees reflecting in her eyes - the distant ship on the horizon - pretty cool! The Isle of the Dead originated in the 1880s by Arnold Böcklin and later many other artists from Salvador Dali to HR Giger created many interpretations of the same visual symbolism. This piece does not focus on the “dead” specifically, but rather creatures that aren’t technically “alive” per se. The main character is a mermaid, but also included are some extinct animals such as plesiosaur, trilobites, pterodactyl and rhamphorhynchus. Böcklin’s version was one of the first mass-marketed prints in the late 1800s, Nabokov references it “hanging in every home in Berlin” at one point.

"Stilleven VI: Het Portret" - painted for the Orlando Museum of Art's "Going Baroque" exhibit - the sixth in a series of works I have planned that feature "deconstructed" elements of still lifes inspired by the Dutch master painters of the 1500-1600s, along with lovely girls, faeries & nymphs (of course!). Stilleven is Dutch for "Still Life" and "Het Portret" means "The Portrait". A lot of fun details in this one, all popular elements included in famous Dutch still lifes - some of the flowers are specifically based on Jacob van Walscapelle's floral still life (which was part of the Orlando Museum of Art's "Golden Age of Painting" exhibit shown concurrently with the "Going Baroque" event). This is my own original acrylic painting, hand painted on panel.

Crown of Shells - a magnificent portrait of a maiden - probably some mermaid princess (she's got a bit of a haughty look to her) with a shining crown of seashells. Her bust is accented with seaweed and coral, and (as I do obsess on them) a nautilus shell. I've got loads of seashells lying around my art desk here and this was a wonderful excuse to paint them! This really is a lovely painting! My own original acrylic painting.

Backyard birds! I have been striving to make my backyard a very nice habitat for wild birds (and am succeeding immensely!), they bring so much joy to my life. Sometimes I think some of the most "common" birds are so beautiful and often overlooked, so I decided to honour them with this painting. A cardinal, a blue jay, a nuthatch, a sparrow and a chickadee! And a fairy friend - of course! This is my own original acrylic painting.

"Spirits of the Vine" is a new series of paintings inspired by wine, of course! This is the second installment- a beautiful nymph embodying the spirit of Chardonnay. She has a golden, velvety feel to her - much like the wine itself, and she is portrayed along side the famous white grapes with hints of high green and blush, with the white wine sparkling in a glass beside her. These original paintings & also the Limited Edition Canvases for all Spirits of the Vine are available exclusively through Pop Gallery in Downtown West Side® in Walt World Resort® here in Florida. Those of you who know me, know that I am obsessed with nautilus shells! I collect them as well as fossil ammonites. I have several "tiger nautilus" shells and wanted to do a portrait with one - accenting it with the Tiger Lily flower (since I like the sound of both having the word "tiger" in them). A beautiful, slightly sad looking girl. This piece debuted and sold at the Celebration Spring Art Festival in 2012. This is my own original acrylic painting.

Captain Molly Morgan! Having just come back from the Caribbean myself (I spend a lot of my time playing pirate!), I was inspired to create this new series of Pirate Girls. Please meet the first - "Captain Molly Morgan" - very feisty, a little tough, and absolutely adorable - she stands on a beautiful Caribbean beach, a little upset about something! You may notice her traditional nautical tattoos - an octopus and an anchor. There are a lot of small details in this piece - a tiny Jolly Roger flask at her waist, a sword at her back, intricate outfit, hairstyle, etc. Very cute! My own original acrylic painting.

One of my favourite Shakespearian characters, I think a lot of people are drawn to Ophelia! This is my third Ophelia I have painted, and I'm sure I will paint her again. This time it is more of a portrait piece, showing Ophelia still very much alive, eyes sparkling with despair and a hint of madness. You can see the waterlilies in the background and in her hair you can see many of the flowers mentioned in the play. One of my personal favourites. This one debuted at the Celebration Art Stroll in February of 2011 where it was immediately sold, but luckily I took scans so I have prints to offer! My own original acrylic painting.

This is a BEAUTIFUL piece - a quiet moment with a fairy girl and her little red dragon pet - sitting in a moonlit garden with colourful flowers blooming about her. I love it!! My own original acrylic painting. REMEMBER: You can easily cange the size of this photo sculpture - or even have Zazzle add a pin back, ornament hanger, magnet, etc. Feel free to customize it! Poppy Fairy - part of my "Flowers" series, this lovely big eyed fairy portrait is accented with one of my favourites - the vibrant red poppy! I love the bright red of the poppy - I was in France for an art thing this summer and they had whole FIELDS of poppies! Actually the whole France thing probably inspired this piece specifically - I gave her the same sort of Rococo feel that a lot of the old French portraits had. My own original acrylic painting.

"By the Seaside"! I love this painting! One of my favourite things to do is to walk up and down the beach here in Florida and collect seashells. Some I take home and paint (hence this painting). Here I have a couple of my little faerie girls doing the same - of course the shells are a lot bigger for them to haul than they are for me! This painting is almost a still life, but in a beach setting - and with faeries (so in otherwords, not much of a still life at all, nevermind). This is my own original acrylic painting.
